Symposiums--SIGCOMM China

The ACM SIGCOMM China Chapter, approved by ACM China Council and ACM SIGCOMM on May 13th, 2016, is the official representative of ACM SIGCOMM in China. The ACM SIGCOMM China Chapter is a community for Chinese researchers who are interested in network research, network standards, network history, and the educational aspects of networking. ACM SIGCOMM China Chapter aims at establishing a connection between SIGCOMM and Chinese researchers, enhancing the research in the field of data communication around China, and bringing the high-quality activities of SIGCOMM to Chinese researchers.

The 3rd ACM SIGCOMM China Symposium, as part of the ACM Turing Celebration Conference - China (ACM TURC 2021). Sponsored by ACM SIGCOMM China Chapter, this symposium solicits original and high-quality papers describing significant and innovative research contributions to the field of computer and data communication networks.

Keynote: Towards Digital Twin for Industrial Network with Network Modeling Approaches

Jiayi Zhang

Chief Researcher of Huawei

Abstract: In Smart Manufacturing, as increasing amount of data need to be collected and collaboratively processed at cloud, edge and end-station to automatically support decision under a bounded, low latency that meets required from product line, this intelligent, flexible and  draws a strong demand to the network in the smart factory. To ensures service level agreement (SLA)  by network and facilitate the new demands in industries, we build a digital twin in the perspective of  network modeling, using network calculus, queuing theory, AI, etc., which supports modeling of traffic and mainstream scheduler, resource orchestration, and close-loop control and adjustment. These techniques enables the design and verification of industrial network with deterministic SLA guarantee, which we would like to promote as a 'TSN 2.0' technique collection and we welcome collaborations in research, testbed and standard.

BIO:Dr. Jiayi Zhang is a chief researcher in network calculus in Datacommunication Research Dept., Huawei, responsible for algorithm and development in network calculus and deterministic network techniques. Before joining Huawei, she received Ph.D. in dept. of EE, Tsinghua University in 2018.
