ACM TURC 2019 (SIGOPS ChinaSys) Call for Papers and Talks

The ACM TURC 2019 (SIGOPS ChinaSys) conference is a new leading international forum for academia, government, and industry to present novel research results in the principle and practice of computer systems. All topic areas related to design and implementation of computer systems are of interest and in scope.

This year, the workshop will encourage original research papers. We plan to accept both regular papers (limited to 12 pages) and short papers (limited to 5 pages), which will consist of refereed papers and Work-in-Progress (WiP) papers. WiP papers aim to provide authors an opportunity for early feedback on current work and preliminary results. Both types are reviewed to the same standards and differ primarily in the scope of the ideas expressed. Selected high-quality submissions will be published in Journal of Computer Science and Technology.

The workshop will also welcome invited talks from renowned researchers, “best of the rest” talks covering top research papers from recent top systems related conferences, as well as peer-reviewed talks describing most-recent progresses in our community. We will also operate an industrial, applications, and experience track covering innovative commercial systems, novel applications of system technology, and experience in applying recent research advances to real-world problems.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following:

  • Operating systems, their interaction with hardware architecture and programming languages, and vice versa
  • Virtualization, including its novel applications
  • File and storage systems
  • Network systems including both wired and wireless networks
  • Mobile, embedded and pervasive systems
  • Cloud computing and data center management
  • Systems for Big Data Analytics
  • Distributed systems
  • Internet of Things
  • System energy characterization and optimization
  • Testing and verification of computer systems
  • Measurement, monitoring, and modeling
  • Reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance
  • Security and privacy
  • Experience with deployed systems
  • Submission Guidelines

All aspects of the submission and notification process will be handled electronically. Paper submissions will be processed on EasyChair. For invited talks, presenters must submit a talk abstract before the submission deadline. Research papers and invited talks will be judged for quality and relevance through single-blind reviewing. Author names and affiliations should appear in the papers.

Submissions should be uploaded at: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acmturc2019. Note that please select the track SIGOPS China. Submission templates can be downloaded at: http://jcst.ict.ac.cn/EN/column/column109.shtml. For further questions, please send messages to acm.turc.2019.sigops@gmail.com.
